Film critic almosted fooled by Mischief

As I was walking down the Croisette late Tuesday evening, something caught my eye. It was a flyer tacked to the side of the Blue Bar just down the street from the Palais. What made me decide to stop and read this small posting when there are so many huge movie billboards to gaze at I still can't say. Maybe it was because the flyer was printed on bright yellow paper, or maybe it was my curiosity at seeing the word MISSING printed in English at the top of the page. Beneath it were three black and white photos of a girl and two guys. The rest of the flyer read: "On October 21, 1994, Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard and Michael Williams hiked into Maryland's Black Hills Forest to shoot a documentary film on a local legend, The Blair Witch. They were never heard from again." My mind immediately raced. Why would anyone searching for these three people post this flyer thousands of miles from where they disappeared? Could it be just because Cannes happened to be holding a film festival? Then I read on and all became clear: Reich, J. Sperling. "Fortnight
